The Resource Center was established primarily to support the various educational programs of the College. Trade unions and community organizations also use the center for accessing information needed for their daily activities.
The resource centre has a collection of books, media, journals, newsletters, pamphlets and teaching materials. The Center is equipped with a bank of 30 computer stations with the state of the art technology which allows all users to access the world wide web.
The content of material focuses on labor and labor-related disciplines including politics, economics, political economy, history, trade unionism, community and social development.
Integrating Resources With Educational Programs
The Resource Center co-ordinator liaises closely with program facilitators and the Director to:
- Acquire relevant resources
- Source and link resources to the individual modules of the programs
- Promote the resources to participants and facilitators
- Ensure that participants use the resources for their projects /assignments
- Empower participants with skills to access the variety of electronic resources
